Agaua Bendita is one of ABS-CBN’s offering on the celebration of its 60 Years of Pinoy Soap Opera. This is not the first time this story, which is based on Rod Santiago’s comic strips that once grazed Liwayway, has been given life by ABS-CBN talents. If one could remember, Agua Bendita was previously serialized on ABS-CBN’s Komiks featuring Shaina Magdayao as both Agua and Bendita and Reyver Cruz as Ronnie, the blind rich kid who falls in love Agua for her personality. Unlike the previous adaptation, the new Agua Bendita offers a third love pair as Paco, a poor young man is included in the picture.
Everyone who loves classic komiks stories or those who like love stories should never fail to watch Agua Bendita as it is led by fresh new faces on Philippine showbusiness. Andi Eigenmann, Jaclyn Jose and Mark Gil’s daughter, gets her very first starring and title-name role on primetime television. Andi Eigenmann will play both Agua and her cruel twin sister Bendita. Agua Bendita also includes Matteo Guidicelli and Jason Abalos as both Agua and Bendita’s love interests.
Returning on acting and on primetime television after over a couple of years ago with Maria Flordeluna, singer-actress Vina Morales joins the cast as Agua and Bendita’s mother. John Estrada also joins as the father of the twins. The show will also feature Alessandra de Rossi who returns on primetime after the successful Tayong Dalawa. Veteran actress Pilar Pilapil is also casted for the show after the successful Lobo.
Agua Bendita follows the story of twin sisters, one is normal while one is born with a physical defect. Agua will struggle to find meaning in her life as she deals with her unexplainable physical condition. Meanwhile, in spite being born normal, Bendita will grow up insecure toward her twin sister. Agua and Bendita will become bitter rivals, until through a mysterious stroke of fate their situations will be reversed.
