Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo Episode 1 Celine Faces Every Wife’s Nightmare was aired on January 18, 2010. In this episode, we get to know the main characters of the story and witness how fate crossed their paths and love bring chaos to their lowly existence.
Celine, played by Kris Aquino is unhappily married to Albert Martinez’ character, Frank. Their marital issues is mainly caused by their difficulty to have a child as a couple and Frank’s fatherly need to protect his illegitimate son, Ringgo, with Astrud (played by Jacklyn Jose), his co-worker. Ringgo, later on was diagnosed with a manic disease which made Astrud decide to take the child to the US for therapy and being the protective father that Frank was, he decided to tag along without letting Celine know about the real reason why he needs to leave again. Unfortunately, their plane crashed but Astrud and Ringgo survived while Frank was still missing and believed to be dead.
Celine met Steve (played by Gabby Conception), a police man whose wife went to Pakistan in search for greener pasture only to die in the arms of criminals out to rob the place she’s working in. Their meeting left an impression to Steve who later on assisted in the retrieval of Frank’s personal effects. A video camera belonging to Astrud was found in Franks suitcase which confirmed Celine’s hunch that her husband has not totally been faithful to her.
The plot of Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo has been properly laid out on this pilot episode and a kudos to that. Kris Aquino’s acting though lack a bit of luster and reminds me of that movie she did with a dog named Magic. Did I mention that the character’s first names were taken from famous singers?
